Linkstorm is seeking experienced interactive designers with skills both in design work (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc) as well as front-end standards-based XHTML/CSS. Particular attention to be paid to pixel-perfect cross-browser compatibility (IE6-IE8, Firefox 3 on both Mac/Win.) Table-based layout will be unacceptable.
The candidate will be responsible for producing ad unit and ad unit demos for display advertisements on the web in DHTML. You won't have access to the HTML structure, and all styling must be done with imagery and CSS. Other responsibilities will include content updates to our websites, from time to time.
Be prepared to show examples of your HTML/CSS work. The less you use DIVs and the more you utilize the ability for CSS to redefine existing HTML elements the better off you'll be. If you have examples of skinning existing widgets, please include in your response.
Linkstorm is an interactive technology company with a product that dramatically improves the performance of online advertising campaigns. We overlay cascading menus onto any creative unit, which provides users with deep links to a client's site. When a user rolls over the creative (banner, button, video, text link, module), Linkstorm menus appear. This is a huge benefit to the advertiser as it helps communicate much more information in a single piece of creative. It also creates a better user experience as it eases navigation and helps users find what they are looking for faster which improves CTRs and conversions. Linkstorm will change web advertising as we know it today.
On-site in our Manhattan office located in the Flatiron District, for training.
